Participants will also discuss the solutions and things to be done to solve the biggest challenges on several levels, creating supportive environment, accessibility of resources, cooperation and equal dialogue among practitioners, decision-makers, academics and other parties.

be awaken by baroque music and Duke Jekab, travelling from room to room and discovering
legends, old skills and traditions.

years and vision of future changes. Introducing the new paradigms in rural areas and small towns.

12:00 FIELD TRIP. Acquaintance of new paradigms and discovering experience and practice in territory of
Local Action group “Rural Parntershil “Lielupe””.
Three field trips:
History for future - enliven the ancient for attractive rural spaces (Zaļenieki - Abgunste - Lielvircava - Eleja). Visiting Abgunstes manor a contemporary landlords’ creative residence for art, culture, innovations, design and life celebrations. Discovering the story of Lielvircavas manor- from tourism object to creative entrepreneurship. Secrets of Eleja tea house – a place of happiness.
Reinventing traditional processes. (Zaļenieki - Lielplatone - Vilce - Trubenieki). Discovering old laundry in Lieplatones manor, experiencing everyday life in 18/19th century and getting in touch with modern place of changes. Enjoying more than 30 variations of mint, marshmallow-based candies, syrup, cosmetics and other unique products in Lolita Duges’ “Little Pepermint house”. Meeting Trubenieki landlord who, after a period of experimentations, have changed activity of his farm from traditional farming to growing shitake mushrooms.
A “sharper” approach to farming and entrepreneurship in rural areas (Zaļenieki – Svēte - Valgunde - Tīreļi). Story of young entrepreneur Lelde – focused development of farm “Lejinieki” turned to biological farming and food processing by producing feezed cookies in vacuum packaging as well as berries’ butter. Visiting Rolands’ farm “Zvaniņi” which initially thought as calm holyday home is now the biggest farm of chili peppers in Latvia. Tasting brandywine from Latvian fruits and berries in “Tīreļu dzītuvīte” near Tīreļu marsh, experiencing production process and discovering horse stables, with international experience in local market.
